Sir Ringo Starr Brings His All Starr Band to Phoenix

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band. The 2019 All Starr Band features Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Gregg Rolie, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and alum Hamish Stuart.
“My dream has always been, and still is, to play great music with great musicians—and I’ve been blessed to have so many incredible ones in my All Starr Bands,” Starr said.
Rotary Club of Scottsdale Hosts Sonora Gov. Claudia Pavlovich
The Rotary Club of Scottsdale hosted Sonora Gov. Claudia Pavlovich at its weekly meeting held at McCormick Ranch Golf Club Feb. 11. The event was an opportunity for the Club’s 125-plus members and guests to hear, first-hand, about the economic, tourism and educational value of the relationship between Arizona and Sonora, including the importance to the small-business community. The Rotary Club of Scottsdale was joined by representatives from the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, US Consul to Mexico, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s Office, along with area business, community and political leaders.

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa Renovations Near Completion
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, considered one of Arizona’s premier and largest destination resorts, is nearing completion on its six new pool suites. According to Steve Hart, general manager and area general manager, the addition of the six new poolside suites rounds out a compilation of enhancements the resort added in 2018, totaling $8 million.

Steak 44 and Sister Concepts Award $1,500 in Scholarships
Steak 44 is proud to announce that for the first time ever, together with its sister concepts, awarded $1,500 in scholarships to three full-time university students. Each recipient will receive $500 in his or her pursuit of higher education.
Scholarship winners were selected after a rigorous selection process. Participants were asked to submit a short essay answering the following question: “Why are some dining experiences better than others? Considering service, food, atmosphere, how does the totality of the experience determine your decision to call a restaurant best in class?’’’
