April Martinez Brings a One-stop Salon and Spa to Scottsdale
Combining luxury and a warm atmosphere was key when April Martinez started The Hills Salon and Spa.
“Serenity and glamour were both important when I renovated the space that is now The Hills,” she says. “The best part of being a girl is sparkle, but I didn’t want my male clientele to be threatened by the design. It’s an amazing experience for men and women alike.”
Coming from a diverse background allowed April to be savvy when deciding on important salon elements.
“I worked in marketing and am an esthetician,” she says. “The combined skills help me to run a successful business.”
April wants her artists to work in a space that allows them to pursue their passion. She also wants clients to have a one-stop shop for a special event.
The nearly 4,000-square-foot salon opens to a lovely waiting area and fully stocked boutique with the latest trends in jewelry and décor. The space includes nail stations and hair stations, as well as several treatment rooms.
“Aesthetically it’s stunning,” April says. “When you enter, take a deep breath and drink it all in, I think you’ll find it’s a total experience that will leave you feeling renewed.”
“The Hills has a glamorous allure—from the front desk encased in beautiful tiling to the chandeliers—the airy space is on-trend.”
The ZGallerie’s Omni Chandelier for $899 brings opulence to any space and adds soft light. A Hollywood vanity mirror can be found on Etsy’s Charmvanities site for $240 and enhances a room’s elegance and flair.
