Fall into October

Growing up and living in the Midwest most of my life, October was always one of my favorite months of the year. Trees started turning colors as the temperatures started to drop and sports were everywhere. Baseball season was wrapping up with the World Series, and football was in full swing, the local high school game on Friday night, my beloved Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday and the Chiefs (sorry Cardinals) on Sunday. Nothing better than grabbing a cup of coffee in the cool mornings planning my sporting day.

Today, not much has changed. October in Arizona is still one of my favorite months. For me today, it signals a break in the heat, more time to spend outside and, oh yeah, football.

As you peruse this month’s North Scottsdale Lifestyle, you will find some great places to start out your sports Saturday with an excellent cup of Joe.
