2017 Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Challenge
For the fourth year in a row, chefs from more than two dozen restaurants across the Valley and Flagstaff will go head-to-head to create a winning dessert using one of the Girl Scout cookie flavors. The new creations will be sold in their restaurants throughout February, with a portion of sales directly benefitting local girl scouting. Local Volunteers Provide Hope Filled Holidays
More than 500 volunteers spent a weekend packing 155,000 meals during Feed My Starving Children’s (FMSC) Hope Filled Holidays event. These meals supported FMSC’s effort to ship an additional 21 million meals to Haiti following the devastation of Hurricane Matthew. Groups from organizations such as North Bible Church, American Traffic Solutions and Light of Christ Lutheran Church, as well as several families, sponsored one or more pallets of food. Funds were raised to pay for a full container of food to go to the struggling nation, which has been plagued by earthquakes and hurricanes in recent years. Liberty Station Pulls Into North Scottsdale
